Sunny Hill Golf Course at Sunny Hill Resort is one of two courses at the Resort. The course is located in Greenville, New York, in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County. The resorts two courses are the 18 hole exective Sunny Hill Golf Course and the championship 18-hole Thunderhart Golf Course.
Sunny Hill Golf Course at Sunny Hill Resort first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by Hal Purdy.
The front nine that plays easy, and a back nine that is difficult because of its small greens. The fairways on the front nine are wide open, while those on the back nine are narrow. The terrain is hilly, and a pond comes into play on hole #12, a 180-yard, par 3.
Par for the course is 66. From the back tees the course plays to 4350 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4350 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-4 that plays to 360 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 115 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 11, a 350 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 6, a 115 yard par-3.
